My 2018 Toyota Sequoia Platinum has been in the shop 5 Times for electrical warning issues, 2 recalls and all they keep doing is resetting the software. They had a Toyota Tech fly down from Denver, so I am told to look over the vehicle and all they did was disable the sensitivity to all of my warnings!!! With the MOST Important one being a "Brake Warning Malfunction" and to pull over to the side of the road and get it to a Dealer as soon as possible is unnerving as TWICE this slowed down my vehicle on the Freeway going 55-60 mph not giving drivers behind me ANY NOTICE!!!!!
This vehicle and its CPU is completely UNSAFE and Toyota needs to do something about it ASAP or they are going to have A LOT more on their hands than putting a band-aid on these electrical problems as software updates aren't doing ANYTHING to repair all of the electrical problems!!! You don't turn off the sensitivity levels that consumers are paying for because you can't fix the problem?! The fact that these safety warnings lights and alarms are being deactivated is telling on their part and unfortunately, they are going to be responsible for many accidents and God forbid, fatalities when someones truck slows down and an 18-wheeler is behind them!!!
