radio/navigation turns off/on by itself while driving

I don't drive my Sequoia everyday, so when this first happened I thought it was an app on my iPhone that was causing the radio to turn off and come back on. I only have just under 28K on my truck but as I drive it more I have noticed now the problem is getting worse. The radio turns off and on more often within in a 30 minute drive and the controls on steering wheel also don't work. Its out of warranty of course. Have yet to see any type of recall. I owned a used 2008 Sequoia prior to purchasing this truck brand new, which now rings a bell with the Carfax notation of the radio had been replaced in the 2008 truck before the warranty was up. Its sad to know even after manufacture know there is a certain problems with particular makes and models they don't do a better job at solving the same problems in newer models. I thought buying a brand new truck wouldn't have the same problems and a truck 6 years older. Could have kept the 2008.
