The same seat belt that will not recoil/retract and was prepaired in july 2014 will not recoil again. this time both the second row left and right seatbelts will not recoil. It happened we were in transit. I stopped to buy gas and for my children to get out of truck toto stretch themselves. when they boarded and we had barely driven 3miles the one of my children noted it his seat belt will not recoil. We drove for about another 3hrs and stopped for a rest. thereafter the other seat belt also gave way.
I think Toyota has to do something about these belts. I have not repaired them since I had just a day to travel back to Europe. The truck is parked in my garage. Yet to figure out what to do
I was on holidays in Ghana. Just as I was about to make an 800km trip my wife discovered the the passenger rear left side (second row) seatbelt will not recoil. I had to postphone te journey by a day because I needed to send it to an auto body shop where I was told some parts had worn out. They fixed this problem in July 2014.
The middle seat belts tend to wear out in the 2008 Toyota Sequoia.. After a while they will not recoil and have to be replaced... I had to replace both belts 5 years into my purchase... The middle seats for our family gets used a lot.
