This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I have owned my 2005 Toyota Sequoia for a couple of years and recently my SRS light came on, then my cruise control quit working, and recently horn quit working. These all took place in a matter of a few weeks. After diagnosing the issue with my mechanic, it was determined that my spiral cable/clock spring failed. This vehicle is only 6 years old, and I am now driving without a horn or air bag protection, until I can save ~$350 to get it replaced. This is a high risk item and should have a longer life expectancy.
