NHTA opened 2016 investigation into the Yaw steering sensor failure because of the excessive number of complaints but then closed the investigation because no one had died yet. My yaw sensor went bad, my car jerked hard to right, the VSC engaged causing me to decelerate as I crossed in a busy intersection, I was almost struck by a truck which veered away onto curb almost hitting a pedestrian. The car made a rough noise then allowed me to continue though to safety. Scared the crap out of me. Happened 3 more times on way to dealership.
There I learned Toyota declared the part obsolete and I can not get a Toyota part or an after market part. There is no fix for this car. How can that be? How can this near disastrous failure of thousands of sequoias be unworthy of recall or replacement. Ridiculous.
I have this old one which was 44,000 new, and 3 more less than 10 years old. As I sell each one, I will not replace it with a Toyota.
