While sitting still in 107º heat waiting for an accident to clear, my VSC OFF & VSC TRAC warning lites came on. I turned off the ignition & restarted & it cleared the warnings. Later while traveling at 70 mph the vehicle suddenly lurched to the right with the ABS on momentarily with a beep. Then the VSC OFF & VSC TRAC lights came on. The vehicle drove normally thereafter with warning lights on. After stopping for dinner, the lights went off. Then again after traveling about an hour at highway speeds again the vehicle lurched to the right again with the warning lights coming on again.
My mechanic say's my fault codes indicate the Yaw Sensor is defective & must be replaced for $350. I will have this done, but reading about this problem on line I am not convinced this is the solution.
Toyota should be stepping up and fixing this issue.
