I have had the RAV4 for less then two years. I have had continual problems with the electronic screen and apple car play issues. I have had 5 "dealer updates". Most recently I was told that the system would be replaced. I just found out today that Toyota has "denied" the repair and is wanting to do yet another update. No one can tell me the difference between the updates. No one at the local dealership is able to tell me what the problem is. I was actually told that if they can't reproduce it, it doesn't exist. I have a video and photos of the problem yet they still refuse to acknowledge there is a problem.
Update from Mar 4, 2022: My "computer screen" continues to go black, requiring stopping and turning the car off/on to :reboot" it. also it continues to flicker. The updates are current and toyota still refuses to replace it and says that they need the car for the day to run it through required diagnostics. Once they do this they say it only is good for "3 weeks" and that they need to do it again. They have done this at least 4 times without an identified problems or solutions.
