The contact's daughter owns a 2019 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that the driver-??s and passenger-??s side front windows became inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the window regulators on the driver's side and passenger's side front windows needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact who is a mechanic stated that the steel cable in the plastic had deteriorated, and water and moisture had entered the vehicle, causing corrosion. The contact replaced both window regulators. The manufacturer was contacted, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
