The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that while driving at night, the front head lights failed to adequately illuminate the roadway which caused a visibility hazard to the driver. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer rick mcgill's Toyota (3145 airport hwy, alcoa tn) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the headlamps operated as designed. The failure mileage was 100.
Purchased 2019 Rav4 hybrid 4/2019. On winding roads using low beams, lit up distance is abruptly and severely shortened as the roadway dips and turns. These headlights are unsafe, in my opinion. Santa cruz, ca has many such roads, incl. Hwy. 17, and using high beams is not always an option. It was unnerving driving this vehicle the first night that I owned it, and still is.
