The contact stated that while attempting to enter the truck, she became aware that the trunk had failed to close properly, after which the contact was unable to open the trunk. The door ajar warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the trunk hinges. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 35,000.
