My wife had an issue regarding the steering wheel locking up and it took several attempts before the car would allow her to shift into 'reverse' from 'park' after the car had started. The mutli-function display in the middle had indicated the steering wheel was locked This was at a stationary position, and she eventually (after about 8 attempts) was successful in getting the car to unlock the steering wheel. (car is a push button ignition)

About 4 hours later, while departing a parking space (car is moving), the steering wheel would not turn, with no indication. Car was still under power. She stopped the car by applying the brake, shifted the car into park, turned off the ignition, and restarted the car.
