I own a brand new 2017 Toyota Rav4. Noticed bad smell come out of the vents on A/C or heater mode. I called Roseville Toyota and spoke to Kyle one of the service advisors. He advised to have the vent of fresh air all the time. I let him know that is what I have it on all the time. He states, this happens with all Toyota vehicles. REALLY?! I told him I have been driving for 15-20 years and never experienced this with others vehicles or Toyotas. Kyle goes on then about what else can cause it. Again, I am so disappointed in Toyota. Will never buy Toyota again and will not recommend it to anyone. Rather, I will tell them and show them the problems I have been experiencing. This is 1 of 4 of my complaints on this Rav4. Avoid buying and save your money & time.
