We bought a brand new Toyota Rav4 2016 SE on December 12th and the next day after that we had to tow the car... The steering stopped working and a red light appear on the board. Toyota dealer and Toyota Canada doesn't know what is the problem and how to fix it. They reboot the computer and that's it... Every thing look fine after that but... see next complaint
Update from Jan 7, 2016: 2015 December 23 th - (778 km) Guest what? We were driving on boulevard (80 km/h) and suddenly the steering stop working again, but during driving! We were lucky to be on a straight line road and just park the car in a safe spot. We had to tow the car again. We were Christmas time, we rented a car and wait until december 30th to get it fix. This time, Toyota changed the steering computer and the battery to try resolving the problem.
Update from Jan 7, 2016: 2015 December 30th - 260 km later guest what's the F... ? We were drinving back home (95 km/h) and suddenly the steering stop working again! Every dealer were close so we tow the F..ing car again and rent a car... again... And you know what, we are on the New year holliday so we have to wait until january 5th to know what's going on...
2016 January 7th - (1050km) Toyota tried to understand what's is wrong with the car. It's a new model and they have no clue... So be aware if you want to get a Rav4 2016! Toyota doesn't care about custumers and there is no way to change the car or refund it. It's your problem! They will try again and again to fix it until your warranty is over and then what? It 40 000$ car! What a nice service!
So this time they tried to change the steering column and the steering engine... But they dont know what is wrong... I'll get the car on next monday to see what's going on...
