My RAV4 is reliable and treating us well... HOWEVER... it has the worst road noise I have ever heard in a car... and I am 46 years old having had 8-12 cars between me and my hubby. At any speed, windows are rolled up and you can hear air leaking somewhere (VERY annoying), but it's never been found. Window or windows are cracked to let breeze in and that thumping, pulsating, deafening noise that vibrates your ear drums and hurts to all heck... it's AWFUL. I am disappointed that Toyota didn't address the aerodynamics and airflow properly.
NOISEY, NOISEY, NOISEY.....worst road noise I have ever heard in a car! So loud on some road surfaces you have to turn the radio up! It's like there is no insulation in the doors or wheel wells, sounds come right thru. I love the interior and look of the vehicle and the quality of Toyota but don't know how long I will keep it because of this.
