CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 RAV4's top complaint is that the navigation screen is impossible to see in direct sunlight.
While certainly an annoyance, it's not a big deal in the world of car problems. Luckily the fix is a $10 anti-glare screen cover.

BUYERS BE WARE!!! Bought the top of the line Toyota Rav 4 Limited, only thing we thought we were not getting was the navigation package up- grade. After having trouble making calls and after several phone calls to the dealer and Toyota, I found out that the voice activation is not on my car but an up grade, that no one happened to mentioned. So to make a call you have to look at a screen (hopefully the sun isn't glaring on it), the screen shows your phone list, scroll through until you find the number you want to call, and THEN PUSH A BUTTON on the steering wheel, all the while with your eyes are off the road . My 2010 KIA Soul has voice activated Bluetooth as standard. What a disappointment, and an accident waiting to happen. Can anyone say law suit. To have the system and not put in your cars is just dumb. Especially your top end. This set up is just sad. Shame on you Toyota.
