The acceleration and ride is rough and jumpy. The thump in the rear is rather loud and alarming. First car I've ever hated. The first few months of owning this only brand new car I've ever had, I couldn't wait to get rid of it!
There is a periodic thump from the rear suspension, I believe. I notice it within 1/2 mile of starting to drive the car. It only does it once and does not do it again usually until the car sits for a while. I start the car, start driving it and with 1/2 mile I hear and feel a thump. Similar to a rock hitting the underside of the car. I am speculating that something in the suspension is very stiff and then finally "gives" after a minute or so of driving. It has happened several times. My car is new with 500 miles now. It does not happen all the time.
