I have a 2 and 1/2 year old granddaughter who rides in the back seat and am afraid she will open the door when the car is moving down the road..I feel this is a defect and danger to her and should be fixed..When I took my vehicle in for the recall they told me I would have to pay for the diagnostic testing to see where the problem was..the last recall before this was when the door locks stopped working and I feel that I should not have to pay for this problem..I think the mechanic may have accidentally hit a wire or something and now the door locks won't work when the vehicle goes in drive..In order for them to lock I have to lock the doors with the button myself..
When I first got my car it use to work when I put it drive the doors would lock automatically now it doesn't work that way..This is a hazard and defect that is not my fault and I should not have to pay for this because of your company's mistake..I have always thought very highly of your product and have another Toyota and love it..I even recommend the Rav4 to my family and friends. As a matter of fact my brother and sister in law have bought one and love it..But this has really ticked me off..We are talking about the safety of my grandchild and now we are thinking of trading our vehicle in on a Nissan..I only have another year to pay on my Rav4 and would like to keep it but if this problem can't be taken care of my husband and I will probably get rid of it..
At this point in time we are very disappointed in Toyota and the response that we received when I contacted them about this problem. They were more concerned about the money than my granddaughter..Shame on them..They wanted me to pay for the stupid test to find the problem when it wasn't even my fault with no concern about my granddaughter!! SHAME, SHAME ON THEM!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
ONE VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
