Vibration in the rear differential when cornering at low speed under acceleration and at around 55 kmph with very slight acceleration or just above neutral momentum. It does not appear to be getting worse and I can't see any obvious play in the gears when rotating the drive shaft manually. I expect gear lash is the issue but will wait until the noise worsens before opening it up.
Rumble and vibrations from the rear end at about 90,000 miles Noise much like driving on rumble plate on the edge of the highway. First diagnosis was that a bearing had gone in the 4wd viscous coupler and needed replacing - quoted $2700. Found a hidden extend warranty - only Toyota Canada cars. Replaced at no charge.
Same rumble after VC was replaced. Second diagnosis was that the CV joints were locking up due to rust and wear. Required complete replacement of the drive train $ 900. Rumble gone.
