This Rav 4 was purchased from Lakeside Toyota in Metairie, LA. It is in excellent condition with around 24,000 miles. It is our 3rd Toyota but will be our last. I have had to bring it in twice for the foul odor emitting from our A/C. This appears to be a factory defect/problem with the A/C design and trapped odor producing bacteria in the A/C line. Lakeside Toyota has performed an A/C evaporator foam cleaning and replaced the cabin air filter. This problem has never been completely fixed and makes the vehicle much less than pleasant to travel in, particularly on damp or rainy days. We are accustomed to the stale smell sometime emitted from the A/C when a car is just turned on, but this is so much worse and shouldn't be happening. This has got to be a design flaw as this has never been this bad in any other vehicle we have owed to date.
