Since purchasing my 2008 Toyota RAV4 (this is my third), I have had brake problems. When your stopped at a light, or in stop-and-go traffic, the brake pedal releases on its own and goes down to the floor of the car when stopped. In order to get it functioning again, I have to remove my foot off the brake and start pumping them. I have taken the car three different times to two different Toyota Dealer Ships and they say the same thing...nothing wrong with your brakes... One Salesperson did mention that she had the same problem with a Camary she had..nothing was ever done, so she got rid of it!
I love my car and especially the way the RAV4 handles..as I said this is my third! But this problem scares me, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this kind of problem with their car. I didn't have any problems with my 2000 and my 2003, so I'm wondering if the problem occurred when the body changed in 2008..Any help would be greatly appreciated!! They keep telling me I'm the first, but I don't believe that.
