I just purchased this 2007 Rav 4 in May from a repututable Toyota Dealership. There was 51,000 km on it when I bought it, have only had it a little over 5 months.

This past weekend noticed the car seemed louder than normal especially when accelerating (or trying to, really sluggish), more like driving a 4 cylinder up a hill.

Called the dealership today and they took me right in. Service guy said that it was the exhaust system leaking. Like what, this car is bearly broken in! He said the catalytic convertor needed to be replaced and that it was on back order. He will call me when it comes in. Thankfully covered under warranty, but UNBELIEVABLE that this is happening!

I had a 2000 Rav 4 that I bought with 120,000km on it and had it for 7 years no problems until I got rid of it in May. My Rav4 had 235,000km on it! Makes me wonder what is going to happen next, did I buy a lemon model year Rav 4, I surely hope not. My warranty goes until May or 100,000km. Certainly couldnt afford to replace it at the quotes I see on here....
