I purchased the car new,I had no problems until aprox.15k miles on it,i took it to the dealer to check for this noise,(no problem found) i took it again 18k miles on it dist. mgr.
involved(said this noise was normal) I took it home changed the oil in the diff. & transfer case to a heaver grade gear oil 75/140wt the noise is still there. The problem is that the dealer will not spend the time to figure out the problem.just drive it around the block and say that there is no problem.I now have 43k miles on it the noise has not gone away,I am kicking around the idea to bringing it in again or selling it. I will not ever buy another Toyota product.
