Once the car engages into drive after a reverse, it hums and drags for a long time with tachometer reaching 3k before it finally picks up and moves. What could be the problem? Can anybody help?
Manual gearbox bearings have gone at 90000. Vehicle is the new model and not the old one. Toyota refuses to assist in repair as vehicle is out of warranty. This is unconscionable as a brand new AWD vehicle should go further than 90000 on initial gearbox. Everyone should know to avoid these vehicles, and Toyota for that matter. They simply don't care about you once the warranty is gone, no matter if their vehicle construction is substandard. I'll never buy Toyota again.
This car is a piece of junk!! The transmission had to be replaced. Toyota garage said there was nothing I did to make this happen it was "just a fluke"
