In 2001 Toyota completely redesigned the popular SUV. While some enjoyed the new look, they did not enjoy the harsh shifting, jumping from gear-to-gear and eventual transmission failure that cost owners well over $3,000 to fix. The problem stems from a malfunctioning Electronic Control Module (ECM).
Consumer outrage coupled with pressure from different agencies led Toyota to extend the warranty nationwide back in 2010. The previous power train warranty only covered 5 years/60,000 miles, while the extended warranty now covers the transmission and ECM for 10 years/150,000 miles. Toyota also pledged to reimburse any owners who had previously paid for repairs, if they had "proper proof". Good luck collecting on that one.
a little over a year ago my front driver side door no longer locks or unlocks using the remote control or the button inside the car . I have not problems with the other doors. I have to use the key to lock or unlock the drivers side door . when iI'm inside the car I have to manually move the lock/unlock lever to the lock or unlock position. when I use the remote or use the button that's inside the car the driver side lock actually moves as if its locking or unlocking but only goes half way and stops, so subsequently the door does not lock or unlock. no one seems to be able to tell me why this has occurred.
The driver's front door lock went out over a month ago. The dealer quoted over $300 to repair. The passenger front door lock just went out a few days ago. Is anyone aware of a recall under which this could be repaired?

I can't open the front door automatically I have to open it manually each door so if some body help me with this problems and thanks
