We took our Rav4 to the mechanic for a brake job and he called us and told us it wasn't road worthy and we shouldn't even drive it off his lot. He said we definitely shouldn't put our children in this vehicle as it could hit a pothole and fall apart. This was our first knowledge of there being anything wrong with the frame. There is no excuse for any frame on any vehicle to rust through unless there is flood damage. We should be able to buy/use a vehicle to transport our family and loved ones without the darn thing falling apart underneath us! It's completely unacceptable for Toyota or their manufacturer not to take responsibility for a design flaw of this magnitude! I will never buy another Toyota again and you can bet I'll be telling everyone I know that they shouldn't either. To fix the trucks is great but to leave the rest of us out here to dry is shameful.
