So I purchased a brand new 2015 Toyota Prius V and about 3 weeks ago my radio all of a suddenly stopped working properly. The touch screen works fine but the sound is horrible. It sounds like there is a short I'm not sure, it just doesn't sound proper anymore and doesn't work 9 times out of 10. I went to the dealership and had them update the stereo to the latest software, but it still did it. The dealership says I'm out of warranty and that the stereo will cost $3,000 and that it's like a cell phone and could crash at any time. So I guess I'm going without a stereo in my brand new car, which is ridiculous. I can go aftermarket as well but even the aftermarket stereo for this new car is starting at $1,500 and goes up.
