My car stalled while I was driving it on 2 separate occasions. It is a 2014 w less than 70K miles: 1/2022 Within seconds of 2 or more warning lights going on, the engine stalled. I was able to steer, brake and drive on the electric motor towards home. The electric motor drove another.5 mile before it also died, leaving me with no power steering or brakes. I was on a slight incline and coasted most of the way off road. The car was towed to our local dealer, which said the intake manifold had failed. Dealer replaced IM and related hoses and gaskets. 6/2022 I was driving on a busy interstate at high speed in the passing lane. The car started to lose power and decelerate. I maneuvered to the side of the road and UP! the on ramp. Made it to roadside business on remaining battery power.

my wife's 2014 Prius V failed to run. after towing to service diagnosed as failed Inverter. service records indicate this was serviced as a recall 2/2019. now toyota refuses to recognize problem as a warranty issue for repair. even though Recall notice indicates repair or replacement should be free of charge. breakdown occurred 5/14/2022. incident started as she was getting on highway. drove home at 25mph.

Unknown. I was basically driving on the freeway, when my car's engine suddenly stopped running. The car was automatically put into neutral and was not able to control the speed of the car, so I had to move to the side of the freeway. As I was sitting in the car, I started smelling burned wire and interior started to fill with smoke. I immediately turned the car off and got oit. As I was standing far away from the vehicle, fluid started leaking and it had caught into fire. The front bumper was completely burned off, as well as some of the engine and electrical parts were affected as well.

'takata recall ' I believe there is a major problem with Toyota Prius V they make it only for five years, they stop making it after 2016 because they realize there is so much problems in the engine, many car this model the engine get in fires, head gasket had to be replaced at 125,000 mile. Hybrid battery it go bad at 120,000 miles where is most prius hybrid battery go for 250,000 mile minimum. My prius be in gin ga on fire because there is a piece of metal from the engine fell down in the engin block and the engine break down with a big hole and most of the engine oil came down in to the muffler and my car got on fire. And that's happened I was driving on the freeway and there is no check engine light came on as a warning when that piece of metal from the valve lifter I believe fill down in to the block.

Mice invading inside of car and air conditioning systems. Destroying interior and air filtration system. Can spread disease including hantavirus with droppings. I think this is due to using soy based wire coverings that attrach rodents. Can also affect wiring inside the car.

After parked for 20 minutes, the car is dead, had to jump start. Battery was replaced by the dealer, but the issue was not taking care of. At least 3 more times since the battery replacement, I found my car was again ded after parking, can not even open the door with remote. But all 3 times the car was able to power on after a few minutes on it's own while waiting for tow... above that, the clock, trip odometer and temp settings were resetting on random times since 650 miles, as well as the radio which will turn on and off at random. Dealer replaced the radio but it still does the same. I was told that they (dealer) can't tell anything wrong with the car, and can't do anything about it, unless it's dead while it's in their shop, even after I showed them the photos and videos of the issues.
