I purchased my 2012 Prius C used about two months ago. It was Toyota Certified and came with a warranty. It had 15,187 miles and had been maintained through its entire existence. I turned the key to start, but the "Ready" screen did not appear. Instead, I got indicator lights (see attached photo) and a message which told me to put the car in park. Everything was unresponsive, and I could not drive. But it WAS in park. I turned it off and tried again, and all went correctly and I was able to drive. It has happened three times within the past week. Sometimes it happens; sometimes it doesn't. I've noticed that it often happens when the car has benefiting in the sun and is hot. Don't know if that's relevant or not.

I no longer think it an anomaly, but it does make my car undrivable.
