When I bought the car, February of 2015, I noticed the electrical charge would not fully charge. I live in Phoenix, so I thought with the heat, it would reduce the battery power. In the last two years,my car charge went from 13 miles to 10 miles.
Then I got a recall this last January 2017. It did not exactly say what the recall was for. When I called to get an appointment, I was told that the plug-in part (that's part of the car) would crack on heavy uphill travel. It seems too strange because the Prius is made for light travel.
After I came home for my recall appointment and charged up my car, behold! My charge is back up to 13 miles. Very suspicious.
