There is a known issue with the brake booster that is covered under a CSP so long as there are DTCs showing. Myself and several other people on priuschat.com have had this same issue where a short in the ABS control module causes the hazards (we think) to blink in time with the speed of the car. When you start from a stop and take your foot off the brake while in gear the hazards blink rapidly and will increase in rate as you drive faster. Obviously at some point the solenoids can't handle the pulsing and it looks slower. I don't actually know if the ABS system is non-functional and I don't want to try it. Right now it's undrivable considering I have a rave party going on with lights on the front and back.

I spoke with Toyota corporate and the CSP would cover the $1,800 repair (I got the service advisor to price match the main part saving $400) but that's only if the DTC's are showing for the CSP for the failed brake booster. My complaint is if corporate knows this brake booster assembly has a problem and I may eventually get the DTC's to be displayed THEN I could get this done for free, but corporate is refusing to do it so now I'm out $1,400 (almost $1,800) on a known faulty part that is covered until only a select set of issues.
