I brought this to my Toyota dealer in September. The head of the service Dpt at Toyota Nicholasville took a pic and told me he would find out how they wanted to proceed and that he would call me before I went out of town that week. He never called. I called 4X and he never called me back. Finally I went there for routine maintenance and he wasn't there. The service tech finally got in touch with him and he just said they were not going to "participate"...that's it! No reason given. I called the main Toyota number and when they finally got back to me they said it wasn't covered under warranty because it was caused by an "outside influence". aka the sun!...Meanwhile, I have made numerous phone calls to the mgr of Toyota Nicholasville. He did call back once but I missed the call. I have tried 2X since then and have not received a call back.
