lights stay on, battery dies We have encountered this problem three times now. The headlights and cabin lights normally turn off when the car is locked remotely. We have to reopen the car door and turn them off manually. Later, when we return to the car, it is completely dead. The first two times this has happened, we turned off everything electrical in the car, let it sit overnight, and it was fine in the morning. This time, however, we tried leaving it again to charge itself, but when we returned, the car was fully, completely dead. Nothing came on, no sounds came from the car at all. Toyota says, of course, that there is no issue; we must have left the car on. I assure you that is not the case. Toyota just doesn't like to accept responsibility, like all auto makers, for their mistakes. I also asked Toyota to run a test to see if something has faulty wiring which would drain the battery or something. They said that they had run all tests and that the car passed with flying colours. I am submitting this complaint because I don't expect this will be an issue that will just go away. They are likely waiting for the car's warranty to expire. I hope no one else experiences this, but if you do, I hope you will commiserate with us, or let us know of any fixes. Thank you!
