My 2011 Toyota Prius started having stereo issues. I have the JBL stereo without navigation. The display occasionally fades out, or all the text gets replaced with black boxes on the screen. The CD player randomly ejects all my 5 CDs out at once. The buttons to change the station change the mode from AUX, to Satellite, to FM, to AM and even turns the stereo off. Complete chaos. It is resolved by restarting the car, but if you're driving through town and cannot restart your car, it's a real pain. I am currently taking pictures and video every time that it occurs. I have the extended warranty, but everyone knows that if the guys at the shop can't "see it happen in front of their own eyes" then there is no problem to fix. Hopefully pictures and video will be enough to satisfy a claim against my warranty since this problem is completely sporadic. Chances are that it will not mess up in front of the technicians. Other then this complaint, the car has been awesome. I still recommend that if your considering buying a prius, don't let my post deter you from making the right decision.
