I am SO pissed! I loved my prius now I'm offended by Toyota all together & dread getting in my car. I had 3 babies & my daughter with me for day of shopping we came out of last store and started car & a/c was blowing extremely hot air. Even after turning off it still radiates high heat. Babies cried for an hour going home. I got it in Toyota & at first they were dumbfounded couldn't find anything wrong and compressor worked as well as the refrigerant wasn't low. I got shuttled to mall since they wouldn't loan me a car. 5 hours later they informed me that the compressor must have defect in manufacturing and that my condenser was plugged up with metal shavings! I have e to replace both parts which cost $3600 including labor! That is over half of what I'd get if I traded or sold it! I'm irate! I think the company that manufactures the compressor should atleast replace the compressor, but really it's their defective part that caused it all! I believe Toyota should demand that of all the companies that manufacture their parts! Not only for best interest of their loyal customers but also to uphold the quality they say they stand behind.
