In January 2008, I bought the new Prius 2008. On January 11, 2011 I am driving with speed 35 mph and car from opposite direction lost control and hit my car with speed 40 mph head on collision on 2/3 of the car from a driver side were damage, the Prius engine split and an half. The car were total loss..but the airbag did not deploy. I called Toyota experience (1-800-331-4331) but they provide them all information and pictures and request for them for reason why airbag did not deploy. I have not heard back from Toyota and no actions. Has been taken. I hit the steering wheel hard chip 2 of my teeth, loosing 4 and severely suffered neck, back, shoulder, chest, rib, hip and knee, cut and bruises.
I was in a car accident with a 2008 Toyota Prius. I was traveling approx 30 miles per hour and hit a parked car with my front passenger tire. The car is potentially totaled. My airbags did not deploy and I hit the steering wheel and sustained a concussion.
Right lane of freeway 134 E in burbank ca blocked and vehicle in front of me and myself were obliged to come to a full stop. My 2008 Prius was then rear-ended by a range rover and propelled into the large pickup truck in front of me. Both back and front were significantly impacted and car was a total loss. Driver (myself) was wearing seatbelt and suffered face and chest contusions. The airbag did not deploy and driver's face impacted steering wheel.
A 2008 Toyota Prius, 3,800 miles on odometer, collided with a tree. The collision was head on. The car was evaluated by the insurance adjuster, as a total loss. The air bags did not inflate, neither the driver side nor the passenger side. Head injuries resulted to both the driver and passenger. Passenger is suing me.

Front airbags passenger side. While adult sitting in passenger seat airbag sign reads no airbag sometimes other times reads airbag on. Passenger gets in and out and sign may or may not change. Not sure if airbags are working at all.
The contact owns a 2008 Toyota Prius. While driving 60 mph, the driver passed out and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle continued to accelerate and crashed through a fence. The vehicle came to a stop when it crashed into a head stone in a cemetery. The driver was wearing her seat belt, but the air bags failed to deploy. The driver sustained head, neck, and chest injuries. The vehicle was inspected by an insurance adjuster, who stated that the air bags malfunctioned and should have deployed based on the rate of speed and frontal damage. A police report was filed and the vehicle was destroyed. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 24,000.
