total shutdown while driving overheated & died while driving Driving down neighborhood road at 30mph, engine light and triangular exclamation light came on. I slowed and prepared to pull over when engine completely shut down - TOTAL FAILURE of power steering, accelerator, brakes, electrical. If I hadn't already been slowed and trying to pull over, I'd have run straight into a store at the T intersection just ahead. VERY SCARY!!

As it was, I was able to use the emergency brake to stop as I bumped up against the curb, only damaging one hubcap.

Called AAA, nothing responding mechanic could do except tow it to the dealer.

Turned out to be a bad sensor which reported that the engine was overheating - and it shut down the engine for the car's (rather than the passenger's) safety.

If this had occurred on the interstate, I'd not only be dead, but may easily have killed others in the ensuing accident. But then there wouldn't be this complaint (at least made by me...)
