windshield reflection of panel in day and night
I noticed at night the first time I drove this Prius 2007 Hybrid the deep set speedometer and front panel which was so dark at night. The problem was the horrible reflection of that speedometer and whatever else was lit reflected in the windshield like a giant green rectangle directly in my line of vision. I tried putting a cloth on the dashboard and that didn't work. I was on a hwy and could not nothing but try to look above or below this very glaring distraction. Later at home, I found the dimmer switch and turned it to very low. Now I can hardly see the speedometer light and the green reflection on the windshield is still there. ALSO, the same giant rectangle reflection from the front area under the windshield reflects a giant rectangle in the daytime also, when it is sunny. It is very distracting, not giving a clear view out of the windshield. I've never had a car with a windshield which reflected anything in the night or day so distracting while driving.
Update from Mar 20, 2015: This annoying green reflection still is very distracting every time I drive at night. I have the lights on as dim as possible and it is still there. I've noticed also during day driving if the sun is directly in front/overhead, the same reflection of the front panel is on the windshield, but doesn't look 'green'. I can just see the overall rectangular reflection and is annoying.
