OK, so I'm driving down the freeway and the big RED TRIANGLE WARNING light goes on. The parking button is blinking and a little yellow circle appears. On the screen it shows a pink pic of cartoon car. So nothing seems amiss and I keep driving till I reach my exit. It's dark and at the bottom of the exit is a red light. The lighting is bad on the exit ramp and it has a sharp curve. As I stop the transmission locks up! I'm stuck on a dark curve on a freeway exit ramp! I try to put it in neutral but it won't roll because of the automatic transmission lock. Frantically I get my flash light and begin to wave off cars so they don't hit me. I tried to start the car and it won't start. After a few minutes of warning traffic I get a break. I jump back into my car and try starting it again. This time it starts and I gun the accelerator to get off the ramp. The warning lights are still going but I am able to drive it home and park it.

Took it to the dealer and everything checks out fine. BUT IT's NOT! Very dangerous situation. Had there been a wreck it would have been a huge lawsuit against Toyota. I'm worried that next time I might not be so lucky. I have filed a complaint with Toyota's complaint line. We will see where it goes.

Update from Oct 27, 2015: Same fix as dash, a new battery.
