So apparently I missed the deadline to have my Prius brakes fail. Had they failed before Dec. 31, 2017 and I survived, the repair would have been covered under an extended warranty program.
When the brakes failed, there were no indications until they failed. Then right away there were warning icons (red triangle w/exclamation mark, a car with a line through roof, some weird letters on display screen, brake light on and a high pitch alarm sound).
On this day after work, I chose not to take the highway but a back road because I wanted to blow kisses to the cows and look at the lupine growing. If I had taken the highway, I would be a ghost right now. I know it's speculation but... I feel it.
