The 1992 Toyota 4x4 pickup will stall out while stopping at a stop sign, or while driving down the road. We replaced the engine with a new engine from Kragens, replaced the batterey, plugs, wires, belts, ect. Even took it to Toyota Dealership we left it with the dealership for over a 2 weeks they couldn't find out what is wrong with it. The mechanic said it might be the computer chip he even called around to see if he could barrow it from a parts store to make sure that was the problem.. But no one would let him barrow the chip.
( someone told me the chip has to be programed exactly for the Truck ... "You can't just put any 1992 Toyota pickup chip in your Toyota pickup") Than someone told me he had the same problem with his Toyota pickup but his was older, He said he changed the fuel filters 4 times than he took it to the dealership and they changed the fuel filters and the truck ran great after that. He said the fuel filters were faulty (BAD) but after the dealership changed it the truck ran great. change them myself
I want to find a free 1992 Toyota pickup repair manuel so I can change them myself. Hopefully that will fix the problem, We have put around $3500. into fixing it and haven't fixed it yet, I don't want to sale it for under what we have had to put into it. So we might as well try to fix it. Does anyone know what needs to be done?
