CarComplaints.com Notes: The Toyota Matrix is the mechanical twin of the Pontiac Vibe.
Both models were a joint GM-Toyota venture, manufactured together at a NUMMI production facility in Fremont, CA. Only the heating & A/C systems are different.
We keep the car outside on the driveway . The whole top of the car and the windbreaker over back window is a mess.The car scratches easily and the dark blue shows every nick and scratch.We take the paint that matches the color to fill the scratches and it looks like we drew lines all over the car. Definatly time to repaint. We had a honda civic sitting in the driveway,same place{we keep our cars 12 years} and we traded it for the Matrix . It still looked new. But it was also white.I love the Matrix.Just a few problems. Mostly outside of the car. RB
