Oil consumption tests, that were not followed by Kings Toyota.
Update from Oct 10, 2019: I was to witness the test results and review results with the Toyota Kings service manager. They kept me away from my Land Cruiser for 30 mins before I was called back to see the results. Of course the oil was full on the dip stick and very clean looking. It must be simply a miracle for this Land Cruiser that was using 1 quart of oil every 2,000 miles to go to using no oil at all. Per Toyota memo given to all service departments "engine oil is always being consumed when driving the vehicle" "Generally engine oil consumed at a rate of 1 liter every 300 km, or 1 us quart every 2000 miles". This means that my engine will burn/use over 4 quarts of oil between oil changes. THIS IS NORMAL!
Update from Oct 10, 2019: Any feedback from others is welcome.
Update from Oct 10, 2019: The first oil consumption test from another Toyota dealer was a issue also, same procedure , oil plug, oil cooling drain plug and dip stick were all sealed by Toyota's techs - and once I got the Land Cruiser back it was leaking oil at the rate of 1/2 quart per hour. The oil filter cap was torqued so tight that the housing was cracked. Took Land Cruiser to another service guy and we replaced the oil filter drain cap. These caps should not be put on with impact tools and should only be tightened a little.
