The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Land cruiser. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle began shutter and stall without warning. The contact was able to coast the vehicle into a parking lot as an unknown light illuminated on the vehicle. The vehicle would not restart; therefore, the contact had the vehicle towed to haley automall (1906 S main St, farmville, va 23901) where they diagnosed the vehicle with complete engine failure. The contact then had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle's engine was taken apart. It was then discovered that the failure was linked to a defective engine valve spring. The contact spoke with the manufacturer who offered her $2,500 towards the repair of the engine if the repair was performed by an authorized Toyota dealer. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 99,000.
