We took our car to have an oil change at the Toyota dealership and later that evening we noticed the "hood is open" light came on. We pulled over to check and close it but noticed that it was not opened. We opened the hood anyway, just to make sure, and to verify maybe the mechanic left something under the hood that would be causing this, but there was nothing there, so we closed the hood and continued driving.

The light appeared again, but unfortunately, my son had to go to work, and he dropped me off at home and left. Later that night around 11:30 pm when he came home we were up talking and within 3 minutes of him being home, his alarm began going off. He went outside to check to see if maybe someone was by his car, which is uncommon for people to be down our street at this hour of the night. But no one was there. He shut the alarm off and came back in. Within 3 minutes the alarm went off again, this time, I checked the security cameras and I did not notice anyone around our home, and again he went out and no one was around, so he shut it off. This time, I went outside, and waited and again within 3 minutes the alarm went off. I noticed that the red "car" light was blinking on the dashboard prior to the alarm going off and his interior light would go on also. The only thing that would make the alarm stop was to keep the door unlock, Unfortunately we can not keep the door unlock when he goes to work or out.
