The contact owns a 1999 Toyota Land cruiser. While driving in reverse the contact heard a high-pitched noise coming from the dashboard. The ABS indicator light illuminated, and the contact could not stop the vehicle. The contact applied the emergency brake in order to stop the vehicle. The brake pedal failed as the contact attempted to depress the pedal. The pedal depressed very slowly and easily. The contact brought the vehicle to the dealer, who stated that the ABS actuator assembly and master cylinder needed to be replaced. The current and failure mileages were 111,854.
