I bought a 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum Hybrid and I only had 11.000 miles on my vehicle when the chrome finish on one of my wheels started peeling. I thought maybe we had scraped a curb but found no abrasion or other evidence of that.
Then I read on the Toyota Nation Forum that this was a known problem, and one Forum poster said they complained to Toyota Corporate and got their wheels replaced. So I tried that, but all I got was a case number. I know it's only a cosmetic issue and we love the car otherwise, but that is shoddy customer service for a car that cost us more than our first house!
