there is significant heat coming off high beam lights and fog lights, the bulbs are hot enough to have restructured the glass of the light bulb and melt the framing of the headlamp on the front end of the car. Otherwise I LOVE my highlander!!!! I get 28mpg, it seats up to 7, onward upward with mileage on my 4th toyota over 200k.
