The redesigned Toyota Highlander since 2020 has a fancy 3D grill design that does not provide any protection to AC condenser / radiator. It is wide open front grill that allows rock chips from the road to hit directly to the thin fins and puncture them. Clearly a design flaw for the so called 3D grill. Makes this car not drivable in highways, as you risk the condenser without any protection to road rocks, and will need to shell out thousands of dollars for repairs.
