The Bluetooth has echoed since the first day I took possession of the car. I drove back to the dealership twice to have a tech as well as my salesman look at the problem. The tech said there was no fix and the salesman claimed it was my iPhone 8 that was bad. I told him my iPhone worked perfectly in the Ford Explorer and in my husband's current Toyota Tundra. Metro Toyota was of no help.

bought my 2019 new, infotainment system worked reasonably well for 2 months, although it never would accept verbal navigation instructions (always responded by offering "points of interest"), but then the Bluetooth player failed. Failure started with playing songs half through, then loading player but not playing, then degrading further to briefly flashing the "loading" screen, and going blank. Dealership tried to blame it on my phone (with is latest model) however when I told them my phone worked fine on husbands Forester, they stopped blaming it. Sat with technician in car, showed him how connection failed. He agreed a replacement infotainment system was needed, they were "backordered" however so took a month to come in. Finally had an appointment to get the unit replaced, waited a few hours, and car was back to me. The unit seemed to work fine on the way home from dealership, but when I tried it again the next day the Bluetooth only played half way through song. Day after that Bluetooth wouldn't connect at all... just like the original unit! Have called and made another appointment for service to "look at it" again. This feature worked fine in my 2014 Toyota, what did they do to mess it up so badly? I foresee many more appointments... with the unit being replaced with other defective units. So disappointed and frustrated... feel I've been "had" by manufacturer....big price SUV with chronically defective "radio".

I bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Highlander Limited from Rodland Toyota and from day 1 the media/navigation system did not work. It kept shutting down and restarting. The bluetooth connection with my iPhone XR would not work. If I made a call through the car, it would shift it back to my phone, then back to the car, then bounce back to the phone. So annoying! They ordered a new system - took a week - and installed it. Still did not work even with a new system. I called again, waited over another week to hear back, which I didn't until I called them back. I was told that the tech people said that Apple was coming out with an update in the future that would make my phone work with the car system. NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ANSWER! My phone is new - I've had it less than 6 months - and the car is new. There is no reason the car system shouldn't work, not in this day of technology. I am so frustrated with this whole thing. And evidently, others have had similar issues with the 2019 Highlander. Wish I had bought a Honda!
