There is a Customer Support Program (ZJC) which covers only a small sample of 2017 & 2018 Highlander and Sienna transmissions that exhibit a whine. The fix is replacing the entire transmission for up to 10 years - unlimited mileage. The issue now is that this condition is happening with other transmissions outside the range of the initial scope including 2019 models. Toyota needs to revisit this Program and expand the scope of the unit impacted.
